Boring is the operation of truing and enlarging a drilled or cored hole by means of a single-point or more cutting tool, which is usually held in a boring bar.

Generally this boring bar equipped and hold by the tooling system called Boring Head.

It is very common, in the Machining Centres all the machining process can be applied with the system usually called Modular Tooling System which can adapt the machining such turning, milling, drilling, reaming, tapping, threading, and boring.
